For the Second Paper

I was thinking about what we would possibly write for our second longer essay. I think it would be interesting to compare and contrast Gee, Delpit and Rodriquez. I had a very difficult time writing the last essay because I did not like the previous articles I had to work with. This time I felt using the base understanding this next set of articles would be easier to write about. Also, I like the idea of primary and secondary discourse and how it can be seen through out the articles. I think an interesting topic would be to expand about Delpits article which discussed how teachers influenced students through out history to change their lives. I enjoyed reading about the various stories she told of people who came from rough neighborhoods but with the aid of good teachers were able to become leaders in their community.
