Indecision

I am not precisely sure on what I would like to write for my paper, but I suppose since I did not get a chance to write in the most recent discussion (...) I have a few things to say relating Gee, Rodriguez, and possibly Delpit (as well as integrating my personal experience, which is most closely related to that of Rodriguez).  One thing that I think would help me would be a slightly longer page limit, because I struggled a bit with the first paper's six-page limit.  I'm a bit stumped as to anything more specific or original (although I would maybe enjoy integrating one of the earlier articles with any of the more recent ones), but I do know that I would like to have more choices available than just one prompt (I think everyone in the class having the same prompt was part of what made peer assessment a bit difficult, because in my group we all wrote about the same two articles, and had differing views on some points).

  1. Ashley--do you mean that you felt like you had to "stick" to only 6 pages? You are always (always!) welcome to write beyond the suggested page-length of a given essay. I like the idea of formulating a series of paper topic choices for the second longer essay (including a prompt in relation to Gee, Rodriguez, and Delpit).

  2. Oh! I was under the impression we had to stick to the page limit - both of my peer editors commented on my length; some of my classes impose penalties for going outside the required length. That's really good to know!
